There's a lot going on in health freedom - or rather, there is a lot going on to take away our health freedoms. And while there are bright spots (I'll tell you about one below so please keep reading) It can be overwhelming, I know.

Just as when you are looking at a mosaic, getting the "back story" that ties all of the individual assaults together is essential to seeing the whole picture, not just the individual pieces of the picture and being able to understand the entire reality at a glance. Then you know where to put your energy in taking action.

The battle for our health rages around vaccines and food right now with a ferocious intensity.

VICIOUS VACCINES

First, Vaccines: Despite the fact that there is not a single study showing that vaccines are either safe or effective against any disease, not one!, the Uber-Cartel continues to press forward with them to create huge profits and unimaginably large after-market sales along with infertility since, according to vaccine philanthropist Bill Gates and others, "properly used vaccines, healthcare and reproductive services can reduce the global population by 10 to 15%"

The FDA is suddenly proclaiming, out of precisely nowhere, that in 9 weeks we'll all be dead from a killer flu which requires - guess what? the failed and widely-rejected Swine Flu vaccine which is nearing expiration for which they have spent somewhere around $7B BEFORE they approved them. Gosh! What a coincidence! And, waddya know! CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recently recommended two new vaccines for kids:

1. Novartis' quadravalent meningococcal vaccine, MenACWY-CRM (Menveo®), for 11 year olds and College Freshman, military recruits and others, lots of others, including babies as young as 2 years of age is made from 13 different strains of meningococcal vaccine and supposedly "non-toxic" diphtheria organism proteins.

2. Wyeth's Prevnar-13®, a 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine against ear infections and pneumonia, 4 shots starting at just 2 months. The active ingredients have been grown using soy and milk protein (GMO? rBGH? I assume so) and are attached to the same supposedly "non-toxic" diphtheria organism proteins used in Menveo®. In addition, Prevnar-13® contains 100 ug of Polysorbate 80, associated with life-long, irreversible infertility and 125 ug of aluminum phosphate as an adjuvant, or immune system irritant. Infants retain up to 75% of the aliuminum injected IV. Little is known about how much they retain when it is injected IM (intramuscularly), as vaccines are given but, as an environmental physician I can tell you that their detox mechanisms are immature, their bodies tiny and the percentage retention is way, way too much considering that aluminum is associated by mainstream medicine with Alzheimer's Disease via oxidative stress in the brain, kidney, liver, bone and other diseases. Don't forget that the water they (and you) are drinking is treated with aluminum, too, in order to make it sparkle. There is no known requirement for aluminum, except, of course, by the Uber-Cartel. Oh, yes, the synergistic toxicity of aluminum and fluoride is much greater than either one alone and, of course, most water is fluoridated, too.

At least one other health freedom organization is following our strategy of bringing focused, pivital law suits against regulatory abuses. In fact, health claims, which tell you what you can expect from a supplement, have been a major target by regulatory agencies. Truthful claims are permitted under DSHEA (to say nothing of the First Amendment!) but the FDA acts as if it is truly above the law and attacks companies for just that: truthful claims. So when the positive effect of selenium in cancer was attacked by the FDA, the counterattack in the Courts was made - and won. We congratulate the successful litigants. Their victory, if not overturned on appeal, opens the door for more truthful, science-based information than the FDA has allowed, ever.

FOOD FOR GENOCIDALISTS, NOT PEOPLE

Food is a hot battlefield right now for three reasons:

1. The industrialization of our food supply. Monsanto said decades ago that it intended to own the world's food supply and, through its influence on US Government domestic and international GMO and other policy ⇒ Codex policy ⇒ US domestic and international GMO and food policy, it's doing a pretty good job of it. S. 510, Durbin's phony "Food Safety" bill, is nothing more than Monsanto's dream bill.

Your activism has been so great that we have put S. 510 to, in the words of a senior Senate staffer, "on the back burner". You'll find several Action Items relating to the food story below. 2. Supplements are still in danger. Supplements are the most heavily regulated class of food in the world. They are also the safest, but, because of the direct threat that they pose to the Uber-Cartel and its plans, they are also the most lied about and heavily attacked foods in the world. Waxman, a committed long time foe of supplements and health freedom, inserted an amendment to the Federal Financial Reform Bill giving back to the FTC powers that Congress took away from it some time ago because it was abusing them.

Those powers allow the FTC, an agency whose position on vaccines, for example, is that any criticism of vaccines IS, by definition, false and misleading, to demand drug-style testing of food components, supplements before they can be marketed. Since the companies involved are small, and the substances cannot, for the most part, be patented (can you patent milk? a carrot? a lamb chop?, Vitamin C?) there is no one to pay for the years-long, hundreds of millions of dollar "tests" so these powers assure the death of vitamins, despite the legal permission we wrested from Conress in 1994 to take whatever food components we wanted to when we forced the Dietary Supplements Health and Education Act (DSHEA) upon Congress. The American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC), which maintains the The American Associate SA's national database of information from 61 poison control centers, has noted that vitamins are among the 16 most reported substances. Even including intentional and accidental misuse, the number of alleged vitamin fatalities is strikingly low, averaging less than one death per year for more than two decades. In 17 of those 25 years, AAPCC reports that there was not one single death due to vitamins.

These statistics specifically include vitamin A, niacin (B-3), pyridoxine (B-6), other B-complex, C, D, E, "other" vitamin(s), such as vitamin K, and multiple vitamins without iron. Minerals, which are chemically and nutritionally different from vitamins, have an excellent safety record as well, but not quite as good as vitamins. On the average, one or two fatalities per year are typically attributed to iron poisoning from gross overdosing on supplemental iron. Deaths attributed to other supplemental minerals are very rare. Even iron, although not as safe as vitamins, accounts for fewer deaths than do laundry and dishwashing detergents."

3. GMO companies (which are part of the Uber-Cartel) are fighting logic, science and nature to get their patented, dangerous, uncontrollable genes into every cell on the planet. The story is simple: Big Pharma wants you as sick as possible for as long as possible. Big Pharma is a mighty economic force, and therefore a mighty political force around the world since money buys influence and legislation. Big Pharma makes no bones about the fact that it uses its influence to buy what it wants, where it wants, when it wants.
Big Pharma IS, of course, also Big Chema, Big Agribiz, Big Biotech AND Big Medica. It is the Uber-Cartel. And it wants you dead.

So the largest cartel in the world has your worst interests at heart. And the largest cartel in the world believes that you are at its mercy through its control of the media, the medical system, and the government regulatory and legislative agencies such as FDA, EPA, FTC, etc.

The Latest Wrinkle in the Wall Street "Reform" Story...

Oddly enough, a so-called "Health Freedom Organization" claims that there is no threat to supplements from the Waxman amendment to the Financial Reform Bill. They are wrong. Dead wrong. Even more oddly, this group's attorney, writing for them, claimed that the FDA's CAM guidance was not threat, that the Kennedy's FDA Modernization Bill's language attacking supplements was no threat, and on and on. Either the group's crystal ball needs a new battery or their information is dis-information.

In a long piece sympathetic to Waxman and his position, this group opined that there was no reason to worry about granting the FTC the former powers which Congress stripped away from them due to serious abuses in the past. Health Freedom Litigation Victories

The Trustees of the Natural Solutions Foundation congratulate Alliance for Natural Health (ANH-USA) for the important Health Freedom court victory they funded, regarding FDA Health Claim restrictions. This showings that our strategy of attacking regulatory insanity and partiality through the courts is a viable and important strategy. We reproduce their announcement and join in congratulating their respected attorney, Jonathan Emord.

"Court Finds For ANH-USA In Stunning Victory Over FDA (Thank You Jonathan Emord!)

This was a key federal case argued for ANH-USA and other plaintiffs by Jonathan Emord and the Emord law firm. It was a remarkable seventh victory for Emord over the FDA in the area of allowable health claims for food or supplements. Unless reversed on appeal, the decision restricts the Agency's ability to place gag orders on the emerging science behind healthy foods and dietary supplements.

The case revolved around what are called qualified health claims. In a qualified health claim, the producer of a food or supplement tries to share the state of the science behind the product with the public. If the science is less than completely conclusive, usually the case with food or food related items, the claim is "qualified".

The FDA has never liked qualified health claims. It wants food and supplements to be treated like drugs and forced to submit to the full FDA approval process in order to make any health claims. Of course this is crazy. Food and supplements, being natural, cannot usually be patented, and nobody can afford to spend a billion dollars to gain FDA approval of claims on an unpatented product that anyone else can sell.

The FDA knows this full well. The real reason it does not want any health claims for food or supplements is probably that it fears that this will create competition for approved drugs- and drugs pay the Agency's bills. This is a scandal that badly needs to be addressed. The Environmental Protection Agency does not, so far as we can see, represent the interests of coal mining companies. So why should the FDA represent the drug companies rather than the public? Probably because the monopoly created for drug companies by the FDA has given the drug companies vast sums to spend to gain influence. Coal companies are poor by comparison.

The judge in this case, Ellen Huvelle of the United States District Court of the District of Columbia, rendered a summary judgment. That means she felt the case was clear from the start. The FDA was violating freedom of speech by saying that no cancer related health claims about the mineral selenium could be made unless the science was completely conclusive or unless ridiculous and misleading disclaimers were added to the message.

Although this case was focused on selenium, it has much bigger ramifications. The judge was in effect saying that food and dietary supplement producers have a right under the free speech doctrine to talk about the science behind the product so long as they accurately represent that science. The FDA is currently flush with cash from new appropriations. It may appeal. The internet is a tricky place. Not only is there so much information that using it is like drinking from a fire hose, but while there is plenty of information, there is even more disinformation.

The rumor mill, driven by a supposedly "legitimate" health freedom organization put out today that Rep. Waxman's clause in the Wall Street "reform" bill, which gives the FTC more power to abuse in order to destroy dietary supplement availability by requiring drug type tests for the food category known as dietary supplements, had been removed from the version of the bill approved by the conference committee.

While that's exactly what we WANT to happen, when we called the Washington office of a certain Texas physician in Congress, we confirmed what we thought we knew: that the House's members of the conference committee have not even been formally appointed yet, so there is, as yet, not even a conference committee working on this bill. Sadly, then, there is no victory here yet... But was this poor research on their part, attention grabbing or intentional disinformation to have everyone "stand down" to stop the pressure against this bad amendment? Time, and whether they continue to put out mis/disinformation will tell.

More important, though, is the fact that Waxman's dangerous amendment still looms as a threat to our supplements and our access to them.

We've modified our Action Item for that bill, now urging the conference committee to protect dietary supplements and natural remedies from enhanced FTC power. So if you have taken this Action Item before, please do it again since the message has been updated to reflect that both the House and the Senate passed this bill with its dangerous amendment and the only place it can be defeated now is in conference committee.

And now two self-proclaimed friends of supplements, Senators Harkin and Hatch have introduced a new bill increasing FDA funding! That's right! Their idea? Give the FDA MORE power to abuse.

This after a record 23% increase in FDA funding last year! We kid you not. This next-in-line bad bill is called the Dietary Supplement Full Implementation and Enforcement Act of 2010 and even "natural products" business groups are supporting it!
