Start with my co-trustee, counsel Ralph Fucetola JD's cogent analysis of the new Free Speech about Science bill, HR 1364 (a pretty good bill) and S. 216 (a really, really bad bill). While cheering for HR 1364 is all the rage in Health Freedom circles at the moment, you won't see Counsel Fucetola or the Natural Solutions Foundation joining the wild cheering, since, while supporting the bill, we are all to aware of the limits of trying to solve such problems piece-meal. He concludes:
| "...FDA has ignored these legal restrictions, prompting Dr Ron Paul to remark that, when the Congress gives more power to FDA, the agency always engages in an "abuse of power..." A couple of years ago it ignored the 2007 restrictions to exceed its power and ban the interstate sale of certain vitamins. Just last year it sought to ban the entire Ear Candling industry and asked the Courts to recognize NO right of Americans to make their own dietary choices. This is an agency run-amok. An agency that is so incompetent that about half of the dangerous drugs (including vaccines) it approves must be withdrawn from the market, or strictly curtailed, within 5 years of approval, thus proving that the Public has become the final stage in drug company research and development. All the while, supporting drug company exemptions from legal liability for the horrendous harm they cause the Public. Meanwhile, what we call Sen. Leahy's Criminalization of Food and Speech bill, which claims to "increase criminal penalties for certain knowing and intentional violations relating to food..." but applies only to SPEECH, has reared its ugly head again, as S.216. Yes, Congress, can pass new laws to protect us from its agents -- or subject us to even more harassment. But better, DIVEST THE FDA OF FOOD AUTHORITY! Let it stick to messing up dangerous drugs and deadly vaccines... FREE US from this bureaucratic nightmare that leads to hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths every year! And that's our gripe about a bill that's been introduced with the best intent, but with hardly enough clout to do the job of restoring our Health and Food Freedoms... |

DATA POINT 2 has to do with the devastating, escalating disaster in Japan where and entirely new set of reactors, at Onagawa, Japan have cracked open and are leaking more radiation following a severe aftershock earlier this week.
I am very troubled by this development and urge you to watch Dr. Rima's three important videos below and take the proactive steps she recommends here, http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?p=8838, to protect yourself and family. This horrific threat is not going away anytime soon. The reactors at Fukushima have been classified as a "Chernobyl Level Disaster" but, in reality, the radiation levels are far higher than that at Chernobyl. During a trip to Russia in 1991, scientists there informed Dr. Rima and me that the "accident" at Chernobyl was, in fact, an astoundingly stupid experiment that ran amok. The information I have suggests strongly to me that the "accident" at Fukushima was a HAARP event intended to run amok. The quake that opened 3 additional nuclear reactors at Onagawa appears to have been an aftershock from that event. However they got there, 3 more TEPCO nuclear reactors are leaking radioactive water and ionizing radiation-producing materials into the environment. Once there, it reaches the US in just a few days, then the Atlantic, Europe, Russia and China, then back around.
When will it stop? There is no indication that it will. Radiation WILL go up up, first in the Northern half of the planet, then all over it. DATA POINT 3 is the increasing probability of a financial meltdown in the United States if Congress is unable to hold the line on the Federal Debt Limit. Breaking through the $14+ billion figure may very well trigger the hyperinflation that has been building pressure. Obama Care legislation gave the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sibelius, a $16Billion "Slush Fund" which will only be funded IF the Federal Debt Ceiling is raised.
With that fund, she will find the Food Fascism bill which was sneaked through Congress at the last moment of a lame duck session in 2010. If the Federal Debt ceiling is NOT lifted, then this disastrous blow to health and freedom cannot be funded. In Europe, the saving of seeds is being criminalized. In the US, it is being regulated into a crime. This battle is too important to lose!
Another part of Data Point 3 is the steady march of the US government toward your pension, IRA, 401 or other retirement money. Since retirement monies represent sent that last pool of "real money" in the US economy, it is a ripe plum for the picking by the greedy and chaotically faltering US government. Our highly informative show on the Dr. Rima Reports, March 27, 2011, give nearly a million listeners a great deal of information as we talked to Adrian Goad, President of Emerald Express,

Should I Take Potassium Iodide Now?

Now, Back to KI
Potassium Iodide (KI) is useful for only a few days (most experts agree that it can be safely taken for about 8 days). But the radiation from Fukushima and possibly from Onagawa as well, will, in all eventualities, pour out for months, years, decades, perhaps for longer than that. So when do you start taking the KI which you should NOT take on a long term basis?
France is telling its citizens not to drink milk or eat dairy products and not to eat broad leaved vegetables like spinach. France is thousands of miles further away from Japan than the US, Canada and Mexico. Fall out does just that: it falls out of the air so that every mile further the wind carries it, less and less is left in the air to be transported along and fall out further down wind.
Yet the government of France is not covering up, hushing up or lying to the people of that country. To me it stands to reason that if the dangers in France are great enough for warnings, the dangers in the US, Canada and Mexico are far, far greater. Unless, of course, you have an interest in cancer, still births, brain damage, digestive and bone disease and, ultimately, death of large numbers of people. In that case, you would not tell people what they can do to protect themselves. You would make sure that they thought the levels of contamination in rain water, drinking water and foods were well below dangerous levels. You would, like the EPA, actually raise the levels of "SAFE" radioactive contamination and, like the FDA, which states in its legal briefs that you have no right to safe food or the food of your own chosing, stop monitoring milk to see if it were contaminated.
You would, along with every other government agency in the US and Canada, insist that there was nothing to worry about since the levels of radiation were of no concern to humans.
Well, not to humans who do not breath, eat, drink or ever leave their lead-lined vaults. Oh. WHOOPS! Those are the dead ones. So there is no danger to DEAD humans. Children, pregnant women, babies, non pregnant women, men and everyone else has quite a lot to worry about, it would seem to me. There is no safe dose of radiation, just as there are no safe doses of lies and deceptions by self interested governments, agencies and industries.
I repeat: if France is telling its far-less-exposed people to avoid mild, dairy products and broad-leafed veggies, believe it and take those warnings to heart in the North American continent. If France is telling its people NOT to go out in the rain if possible, take the same warning to heart in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Despite the balsamic nonsense being pumped out by the professional media and government "soothers", the reality is very serious. Since KI must be taken on a short term basis only, let's think about the other things you can do to protect yourself. Let me remind you that in addition to thinking about your thyroid gland, you also need to use protective measures against radiation in general. That means increasing your glutathinione levels, taking resveratrol and other factors which help quench the free radicals caused by ionizing radiation and doing everything in your power to get out of harm's way.

The situation at Fukushima has been up-graded to the worst possible nuclear disaster rating, a 7, a "complete meltdown" but note the official spin: "The crisis rating of the Fukushima Daiichi accident was raised from 5 to 7 on the seven-level International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale by the Japan Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency. The new level, the highest on the scale, designates Fukushima as a “major accident.” The new rating puts the Japanese incident on the same level as the 1986 Chernobyl accident—even though Japanese authorities estimate that radiation released at Fukushima is only 10 percent of the amount released from the Ukrainian plant." Now, let's get to the question of whether to take KI. It is a totally personal decision at this point since the officials are lying through their teeth. While the official radiation levels in Fukushima are not being released, instruments show increasing levels of radiation and the evacuation zone around the reactors has been widened because of "hotspots" well outside the exclusion zone already set up there.
There is now no question that I131, which serves as a marker, just a marker, mind you, for other products of radiation, is now being found in every place that it is looked for in the US. Official idiocy abounds to a level that takes the breath away if you are listening to what is being prattled.
The Governor of Pennsylvania, allowing as how 33,000% the background radiation level, and the allowable US government level of I131 was being found in rainwater in his state said, 'Hey! Don't Worry! Meanwhile, in San Francisco, the level of this marker compound, which is a problem on its own, but is indicative of all the other radioactive compounds coming to you from the reactors as well, are 18000% above the legal drinking water limits (Don't Worry! Still no threat to the public, of course, while Cesium 137 and Tellurium 152 are also being found in water and Virginia tells people not to drink the rainwater there.

Wait! The US Government, in the form of the EPA is there "protecting" us! Yes, they are! They are raising the levels of contamination in drinking water that can be present before an alert is sounded “nearly 1000-fold increase for exposure to strontium-90, a 3000 to 100,000-fold hike for exposure to iodine-131; and an almost 25,000 rise for exposure to radioactive nickel-63” as reported by our colleague Mike Adams.
My answer? Right now, as an adult, I would "tank up" on very high quality, bioavailable iodine sources (no, iodized salt will simply not cut it), but NOT sea food from Japan and the Pacific Ocean (for exactly the same reasons that I no longer eat ANYTHING from the Gulf of Mexico - man-made horrific contamination which will contaminate all surviving sea life for God-Alone-Knows-How-Long). But I would keep a weather eye on the situation.
For the kids? I would be very, very close, right now, to adding KI to their daily intake. Not yet, but very, very soon.
Oh, Yes, One Other Option: GET OUT OF DODGE!
If you are in North America and Europe, you WILL be exposed to days, weeks, months, years of radiation. The nuclear reactors at Fukishima will leak radiation for years, according to Japanese experts. You will be down stream of that radiation.
PANAMA
Perhaps you have been looking for the escape route: Perhaps you are ready to move to Central or South America, perhaps to the Valley of the Moon Eco Demonstration Project here in the Highlands of Panama, www.NaturalSolutionsFoundation.org. Perhaps not. But especially if you have children, start thinking NOW. There will not be an early end to this flow of destruction. Even if they decided to bury all 6 reactors in concrete, that will take YEARS and do nothing for the burn at the bottom, where the meltdowns are already putting dangerous radiation into the ground water.
Here in Panama, as it happens, we are probably in the safest spot for this particular disaster. Can I guarantee that we will be so fortunate for the next one? Of course not. But until global mixing puts the airborne residue into the total atmospheric mass of air, we are experiencing less fall out than anyone in North America and Europe.
