The US Congress and the FDA have, shamefully, given the drug and vaccine manufacturers and their executives a "Get Out of Jail Free" card by excusing them from liability for their dangerous and deadly products they so brazenly produce and so laxly "regulate".
The Natural Solutions Foundation has been opposing dangerous vaccines (which, sadly, means all vaccines) for years now. We use many different tools, including formal legal challenges to the behavior of US government agencies like the FDA. When our comments push back their behaviors we count it as a success. Often, however, they ignore their legal responsibilities and that gives us the ability to go into Federal Court with sufficient "footing" to pursue a case against them.
We told you about our third formal petition to the federal government in as many years. This time we're asking the FDA to enforce the 1975 Supreme Court "Park Doctrine" which would hold drug company executives and FDA authorities responsible for the harm they cause to the public. The FDA has posted the Petition on Regulations.gov and it is now possible for the public to comment... so we invite your comments! In fact, it is your comments which will give this important petition weight or, as they say in Washington, "legs". Corporate and Agency responsibility needs legs. Please give it to them!

The ACIP or Advisory Committee on Imunization Practices is the federal government "independent" committee that "advises" about vaccines. What do they have in store for you? For example, "In October 2010, ACIP issued a permissive recommendation for use of the tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) vaccine in adults aged 65 years or older; approved the recommendation that Tdap can be administered regardless of how much time has elapsed since the last tetanus and diphtheria (Td)–containing vaccine; and approved a recommendation for a 2-dose series of meningococcal vaccine in adults with certain high-risk medical conditions. The vaccines listed in the Figure have been reordered to keep all universally recommended vaccines together (for example, influenza, Td/Tdap, varicella, human papillomavirus [HPV], and zoster)."
Other changes include clarifications to the footnotes for the measles, mumps, rubella; HPV; and Haemophilus influenza type B (Hib) vaccines and for revaccination with pneumococcal polysaccharide (PPSV).
And, as a footnote, you know, just an aside: "Some of the ACIP members have disclosed various financial relationships with CDC, sanofi-pasteur, Novartis, Medimmune, ADMA, the National Institutes of Health, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Exxon Mobil Research Club, Protein Sciences, Pfizer, Schering-Plough, Medical Education Speakers' Network, National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, Rady Children's Hospital San Diego, Phoenix Children's Hospital, Symposia Medicus, and/or CDC."
Yep, now that's what I would call 'independent advisors'...

The editorialists note several recommendations to "hasten the funeral of antivaccination campaigns," including the following:
* Fund and publish studies that investigate vaccine safety concerns;
* Maintain monitoring programs, including the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System;
* Instruct healthcare workers, parents, and patients how to counter false claims; and
* Expand public education.
"We believe that antivaccinationists have done [sic] significant harm to the public health. Ultimately, society must recognize that science is not a democracy in which the side with the most votes or the loudest voices gets to decide what is right," conclude the editorial authors. But it's OK to have heavy financial conflicts of interest, right? One sure way to protect a society from the tyranny of "experts" is to insist upon democracy. That includes the "democracy of the dollar" where people are free to make their own decisions and vote with their own dollars. The experts, however, want to mandate (force) us to do their bidding and become the "fourth stage" of their new drug testing program!

Despite a US Government report which details the cataclysmic dangers of introducing GMO salmon, which outfeed and outbreed wild salmon, ensuring their total demise, the GMO happy FDA can see no reason why these fish, which have not been tested for safety and which will not be labeled under FDA regulation sees no reason not to approve this monstrosity. Oh, yes, there is the little fact that when you eat GMO anything, your DNA is forever altered with unknown - and unknowable - consequences. According to every indenpendent study of the matter, none of those consequences are any good for you or for future generations.
Two brave Senators are bucking Big Biotech bucks to help us in this fight. Senators Begich and Merkowski from Alaska have introduced two very important bills which we need to demand that our Senators support as well.

Write to your Senators to tell them you expect them to ban GMO fish as a prelude to banning all GMOs.
Urge them to become co-sponsors of S. 229 and S. 230. These bills will, respectively, amend the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act to prevent the approval of genetically engineered fish and require the labeling of such fish and strongly urge tto protect the food supply, the genetic diversity and integrety of the biosphere and the health of American consumers by reigning in the FDA's wholesale approval of geneticall modified "foods" (GMOs) in the total absence of any significant and reliable scientific testing showing that such "foods" are safe.
In fact, all reliable scientific evidence NOT funded by interested parties makes it clear that there may be no greater threat to our health, welfare and future than this technology. GMO fish pose major dangers to wild fish and to the genetic integrety of those who eat the fish, both preditors and human consumers.
The FDA, being forbidden to examine safety data other than a single preliminary report, puts us all in serious jeopary since GMO "food" is known to impair fertility, immune function, organ integrety and produce proteins in each of our cells which have never been produced before, with potentially disastrous results.
FDA FORBIDS the labeling of GMO "foods" in the US and USDA has acknowledged that there is no way for it to keep track of contamination by GMO crops.
