SAN FRANCISCO, May 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In victory rallies across state today, supporters celebrated as the California Right to Know campaign filed 971,126 signatures for the state's first-ever ballot initiative to require labeling of genetically engineered foods. The huge signature haul, gathered in a 10-week period, is nearly double the 555,236 signatures the campaign needs to qualify for the November ballot... If passed this November, Californians will join citizens of over 40 countries including all of Europe, Japan and even China who have the right to know whether they are eating genetically engineered food.

This just in from the Institute for Responsible Technology: "The state of Connecticut was on the eve of a historic vote. With 90% of Connecticut residents in favor of GMO labeling, pre-vote tallies indicating that a bi-partisan majority of legislators were in favor of the bill, and an unprecedented awareness of GMOs in CT, everything seemed to be falling into place for CT HB 5117, An Act Concerning Genetically Engineered Food. ..Unfortunately, in a devastating turn of events, before the bill had a chance to make it to the floor for debate and a vote, in a closed door meeting, Governor Malloy and his attorneys interfered in the legislative process by removing Section 2 of the bill. Section 2 was the heart of the bill, the section that called for mandatory labeling of all products produced with the process of genetic engineering, leaving HB 5117 meaningless. Governor Malloy chose to put the interests of the monstrous biotech industry in front of the rights of the people of Connecticut. "

The "Four City Tour" was quite successful and General Bert's video (see below) is beginning to "go viral." Please help it by "Sharing" and "Liking" it! General Bert and Doctor Rima are considering all that we learned on the tour, to prepare a strong Action Plan to preserve health freedom in America and the world.
Among the first steps will be the establishment of local chapters of the Women's Health Freedom Coalition -- www.WomensHealthFreedomCoalition.com -- to bring "The Battle of All Mothers" to local, state and federal authorities. What will that include? How about Mothers' Radiation Monitoring Teams? We are also establishing an online Forum for the Coalition.
There is a media black out regarding what General Bert has called "The 900 Pound Gorilla" -- namely, the escalating threat from the ruins of the Fukushima reactors.
