Our Side Just Won Big on Two Supposedly Impossible Fronts… We, the People, can whisper, speak, insist and, when we believe in our own power, we can issue forth a mighty roar at which, literally, corporate and political tyrants tremble!  This week that happened twice, once in France and once in the US!  We snatched two major "People's Victories" from the jaws of two of the mightiest forces in the world: the United States Government and the Biotech Industry.  Take note and take heart: "They" are vulnerable to our awareness and conscious action.  We CAN change outcomes from what they want because it serves the corporate interests to what we want because it preserves health and freedom.  But the more isolated and impotent we feel, the stronger they get.  Well, read on!  We are clearly NOT impotent and, through your Natural Solutions community, we are certainly not isolated. French Score: Consumers 1, BioTech 0 France has rescinded its approval of Monsanto's 810 Maize because the efforts of a small, but determined, group of activists! Here is the simple press release which announces, in understated terms, the victory won by activists there who have uprooted GM fields, staged marches, educated the public and, finally gone on a hunger strike.  Finally, in the midst of the uproar, France rescinded its approval of Monsanto 810 Maize for animal feed. "Press Release -  (Jakarta, 12 January 2008) La Via Campesina is happy to announce that José Bové and the 15 other anti-GMO hunger strikers won a major victory yesterday with the French government's decision to ban the GMO Monsanto maize "MON 810", the only variety authorized in the country so far. "This significant decision was taken because of the risks this genetically modified variety poses on the environment. "The 16 French activists launched a hunger strike of indeterminate length on January 3 in order to achieve the activation of the cautionary principle, permitted by European law that allows a country to edict a moratorium on the commercialization of a genetically modified seed if new scientific evidences show that it threatens the environment. "The international peasant's movement La Via Campesina is a strong opponent of genetically modified crops. It considers the French government's decision as a strong signal to reconsider a total ban on GMO crops in Europe and in the world. "For more information: Josie Riffaud and Paul Nicholson : +34636451566" France has bent a vigorous battle ground against genetically modified (GM) foods.  The international peasants' organization, "La Via Campensina" (literally, "Peasant Life") has been fighting GM crops vigorously in France and elsewhere. They have gone to jail for burning GM crops in France, organized marches, informed the public and brought court actions.  Earlier this month, they organized a hunger strike in France.  The only GM crop approved for use in France thus far has been Monsanto's Yield Guard Corn, 810 Maize, which is genetically modified to produce a pesticide similar to the one which the bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis produces.  Although the compound produced by the GM corn Monsanto 810 is billed as identical to the natural pesticide product is not.  The idea is to kill the corn borer by making the whole plant poisonous.  Really poisonous.  Um, people eat the plant even though it was approved for use as an animal feed.  People also then eat the new DNA and it gets into our own DNA.  Animals, insects and bacteria also eat the pant.  Isn't there something wrong with this picture? Codex established the methods of analysis, laying the groundwork for the global approval of Monsanto 810 Maize in the 24th Session of the Codex Committee on Methods of Analysis and Sampling (CCMAS)/AD HOC Intergovernmental Task Force on Foods Derived From Biotechnology, Budapest, November 2002., ftp://ftp.fao.org/codex/ccmas24/ma02_08e.pdf. That is, of course, not much of a surprise.  Like the FDA, Codex apparently never met a GM food it did not love.  There certainly is not much to love about this destructive food. Remember, the FDA does not look for safety when companies apply to bring their GM food to market.  It does not even look AT safety data since it does not review or carry out safety studies. No, is a patent.  And the FDA actively forbids labeling foods accurately if they contain GM components!  Consumers would reject food if they knew that it was GM, said Dr. Barbara Schneeman of the FDA at last year's meeting of the Codex Working Group on the labeling of Foods Derived from Biotechnology.  Therefore, she continued, when pressed to explain the US ban on accurate labeling, since the FDA has made the administrative decision that GM foods are the same as non GM ones, telling the public the truth would be "false and misleading"! As far as Codex is concerned, the GM corn, Monsanto 810 Maize, which produces 1500-3000 times more Cry1AB toxin than the safe natural bacterial toxin, is perfectly fine for use.  And, until this week when France basically used our Codex Two Step* approach, France had said it was fine, too! See www.globalhealthfreedom.org for details.   Every Victory Makes Us Stronger - Here's Victory Number Two In the American Spiritual, "Jacob's Ladder" the slaves told their masters through their song, "Every victory makes us stronger" and so it does.  Although the fronts on which the health freedom battle is fought are many, the issues are always the same, "Who makes the decisions about what goes into MY SKIN?  Is that my choice or is it the choice of some corporate-driven government bureaucrat or doctor?   Chemotherapy?  Vaccination?  Herbal treatments?  GM Food?  Biochemically effective supplements, pesticide-free food? "Organic" that means "clean and chemical free"? Health care professionals treating me the way we both agree they can treat me without the State interfering and criminalizing my health care provider? Truthful information about how food might be able to help me? The State taking my children away because it wants to drug or vaccinate them and I do not? The answers are plain to see if you love your health and you love your freedom.  That means the victories are ours and for the hope of the future!  Victory Number Two is about Freedom first and health second. The Real ID bill passed recently to the howls of outrage of freedom advocates (mine included) when we said that we did not want a national ID card (a prelude to control of movement within a country with huge historical precedent - like Nazi Germany and Stalin's Russian, Apartheid South Africa, for example).  We also did not want an ID card with a Radio Frequency Identification Device or RFID embedded in it which could be read from afar, activated or turned off by the government or through malicious manipulation (again, from afar), encoded with all financial, medical and other personal information, etc.  Bad idea.  But the government seemed hell bent for leather to force us to carry these cards regardless of our desires as part of the "war on terror" (whose terror, of course, is never discussed). But that is not the way things turned out. "Real ID is dead in the water, and it is clear that no amount of money can save it," said ACLU Legislative Counsel Tim Sparapani." The only solution to Real ID is to scrap it, and Congress is catching on. "With seventeen states opposed to this program and the U.S. Senate standing behind them, this is the beginning of the end of Real ID..." The Natural Solutions Foundation joined other NGO's (nongovernmental organizations or "civil society" as it is know elsewhere in the world) to educate Congress and decision makers about the dangers to health and freedom of programs like Real ID. But the program would not have been stopped but for a loud public outcry -- People Power! This is a People's Power victory. Alone we may appear to be "voices in the wilderness" but together we are powerful! We are heading toward a state of siege in which the "authorities" determine what you may, may not and must do with your body and your child's.  This is what Dr. Ron Paul has decried as "soft Fascism." The issues at stake can be lumped together under the heading "Health Freedom" - The authority of the state ends at my skin!  In February, 2006 I published an article called "Whose Blood Sugar is it, Anyway?" (http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/docs/blood_sugar.pdf) about the fact that if you have your blood sugar drawn in New York City, your doctor will get a letter scolding him/her if the City does not like your lab results and so will you!    Vermont had already enacted the same invasive laws. (Is there any "nanny state" nonsense intervention that our regulators would think too noxious for their bureaucratic attention?) Alas, we did not rise up then and stop the process of the State Regulators taking over our bodies.  So they expanded their powers considerably.  This time, the time is now to take back control of our own bodies.  We ignore this warning at our peril. Frightening threats remain: Colorado SWAT Team Takes 11 Year Old From Family Because They Did Not Take Him to Hospital: Docs Say "Kid's Fine!" "Horsing around" with his sister outside their home, an 11 year old slipped and hit his head.  His dad, a former paramedic, took him back into his house and observed him for signs of a concussion, standard practice in these situations, by the way.  A neighbor saw the boy fall and was so alarmed that an ambulance was not called that she called the police resulting in an emergency Court Order, a SWAT team breaking down the door and menacing the family at gun point and a shooting civil liberties and parental rights in the foot at the same time.  The boy was taken away terrified and shaking. He was later returned because the hospital staff said the boy was "fine".  The judge admitted that if the child were his own, he would have made the decision on his own and that he would probably have done what the father in this case did: observe the boy. New Jersey Parental Rights Severed Without Due Process When Parents Follow Pediatrician's Advice: Specialist Miffed, 8 Month Old Put in Foster Care A baby born with a serious birth defect called "Spinal Bifida" was under the care of his pediatrician who disagreed with the local specialist on what should be done to care for him.  The baby was well and happy when his parents noted a change they were concerned by in his skin.  They took the baby to the hospital where the local specialist notified the State Child Protective Services who refused to let the parents take their 8 month old child home and severed their parental rights without a court hearing or other legal proceeding.  Read more (http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/index.php?p=496).   Health Freedom Ball "The authority of the state stops at my skin…" Health freedom means controlling what goes into your body, what you can, cannot, do and do not do with your own health or your kid's health.  But this level of freedom is not what the people who think they are in control want for you. Your right to buy high potency nutrients of any type you like as allowed under US law.  It appears some politicians and FDA agents think that the law that permits this, known by its initials, DSHEA, is the "worst" law ever passed in the United States and has vowed to undermine and overturn it.  Codex compliant Europe has already accomplished this dubious "achievement." Your right to seek medical and health care using natural means, not drugs, if you wish for yourself and your family.  This right is steadily being eroded for the benefit of the drug companies. Your right to eat food which has not been exposed to free-radical inducing x-rays or dangerous chemicals with no notice on the label of any kind (like ALL "organic", "raw" almonds and, in the near future, ALL dark green leafy vegetables and greens. Your right to have food regulated by an agency a large part of whose operating budget does not come directly from the drug industry, as does the FDA's budget. We recommend divesting the FDA of its food safety and claims authority. Your right to choose any sort of innovative or traditional health care practices for yourself which you choose without restriction or interference by the government.  The FDA conducts raids by special flack-jacketed FDA marshals wielding guns and batons, accompanied by dogs during destructive and terrorizing raids on legal manufacturers and practitioners. Fear Sells, Terror Sells Better. Avian Flu and & Compulsory Vaccination

FEAR SELLS, TERROR SELLS EVEN BETTER HERE COMES AVIAN FLU with COMPULSORY VACCINATION RIGHT BEHIND! PLEASE FORWARD JOIN HEALTH FREEDOM eALERTS http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/index.php?page_id=187  One, Two Punch It's always sad when government propaganda uses the independent media to spread its lies and, in this case, terror.  Art Bell, popular "Indy" radio host, interviewed internist Dr. Gary Ridenour who is marketing terror (at $19.02 cents a pop, by the way, on the website "Pandemic Direct") [I kid you not].  Dr. Ridenour is touting the idea that we are really in for a pandemic disaster since he believes that avian flu represents "the greatest health threat to mankind in the history of the world."  Not depleted uranium, not chemtrails turning the entire atmosphere of the earth into a novel plasma, not genetically engineered foods, not global warming, mind you. Avian flu, which, according to official sources, does not even exist yet in pandemic form. Pay attention here: the truth will set you free! Dr. Rideour maintains "the current strain of avian flu kills about 60% of the people who contract it in as little as eight hours".  in order for it to become a pandemic, he explained to Art Bell, the virus must mutate down to a less lethal but far more infectious form that can be spread from one person to another. Ridenour estimates a one in three chance of an avian flu pandemic in the near future. It is beyond me, by the way, to understand how that "statistic" was derived or what it means, just as it eludes me how to understand how Dr. Ridenour can predict that a "less lethal" strain of a virus will kill billions of people. Astonishingly, Dr. Ridenour goes on to assert, "The death rate will be highest among 20 to 40 year olds because they have the best immune systems. This is because the avian flu harnesses the immune system to attack and dissolve the tissue in the lungs. [Dr. Rima's comment: the H5N1 virus does not "attack and dissolve the tissue in the lungs".  Since the virus depletes vitamin C rapidly, the vessels of the lungs are damaged by the blood and fluid leaking from the capillaries due to a rapid onset of a condition like a fulminate case of scurvy.] "According to health experts, this 'cytokine storm' is one of the main reasons so many young and healthy people died during the 1918 flu pandemic -- an outbreak that killed an estimated 50 to 100 million people." [Dr. Rima's comment: according to other experts, the reason the 1918 pandemic killed so many people was that they took the new drug, aspirin, to reduce their fevers which led to an unchecked multiplication of the virus in the absence of the body's natural fever defense.  Fever stops the replication of viruses. Others have suggested that it was the rudimentary flu vaccine that actually caused that world pandemic.] Dr. Ridenour estimates "this time up to one billion people could perish during the pandemic, but not solely from the virus' lethal effects." Ridenour believes many will not survive because of a disastrous infrastructure meltdown caused by the pandemic. Ridenour notes that Tamiflu and other flu treatment drugs will likely not be an effective defense against the virus. "If people can stay secluded indoors for the first 8-10 days of the outbreak, he recommended, there is a good chance they will survive the first wave." But What's Right Behind This Absurd Fear (and Book) Mongering?  This gem from the BBC getting us ready to roll up our sleeves and ask to be "protected" and vaccinated again and again and again. (Note that the article says nothing about the amount of mercury, aluminum or the cancer viruses in the new wonder vaccine).   Universal Flu Jab Works in People Flu BBC News January 4, 2008 The vaccine is designed to protect against all flu strains A single jab that could give lifelong protection against all types of flu has produced promising results in human trials.  The vaccine, made by Acambis, should protect against all strains of influenza A - the cause of pandemics.   The vaccine is designed to protect against all flu strains Currently, winter flu jabs have to be regularly redesigned because the flu virus keeps changing. The new vaccine would overcome this and could be stockpiled in advance of a bird flu outbreak, say experts. Dr Michael Watson of Acambis said: "As a universal vaccine, ACAM-FLU-A can potentially overcome many of the drawbacks of existing influenza vaccines. It can be manufactured at any time of the year, and could be stockpiled in advance of a pandemic or potentially used routinely to ensure population protection against future pandemics." Click here (http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/index.php?p=491) to read more.  The story says that 9 out of 10 people exposed to the vaccine developed antibodies.  It does not say whether that protected them against the flu.  Those are VERY different things.  Note the words "Entire populations protection" - that's compulsory vaccination on the hoof.  Forced Vaccination On the March  At the University of Maine on December 11, 2008, college kids were locked out of their dorms, their dining halls, their libraries, their classrooms in the middle of the New England winter if they had not yet submitted to forced vaccination for mumps because 2 cases showed up on campus.  Their ID cards were turned off so they could not eat, sleep, shower or study at their homes and halls.  (I guess that is what people with chips in their arms could expect if they offended the government and their chips got turned off.) The kicker in the story is that the same day, the Alberta (Canada) Health Department stopped all use of the identical vaccine because of the serious and potentially deadly adverse reactions in adults.  Ontario, QuebecBritish Columbia followed suit the next day.  But here in the US, we chalked up another victory for public ill-health.  The decision, made by the President of the University of Maine (who is not a physician) leaves people who do get sick or die without recourse for themselves or their estates, of course, because the FDA has conveniently removed all, ALL, product liability from drug and vaccine makers once the product is approved by the FDA.  And who can forget the 2300 children in Maryland, a State which DOES NOT have compulsory vaccination laws and which DOES have an exemption, who were vaccinated at the point of a gun (complete with dogs) after their parents were threatened with fines and jail time if they did not let their kids be vaccinated with substances too toxic for the State's Attorney, Glen Ivey, to allow his own kids to take!  Compulsory vaccination decrees will become more and more frequent until they are as commonplace as fluoridated water and even more toxic.  That way, just as we have come to accept fluoride as an everyday public health measure which it is folly to question, vaccination will become a similiar fact of apparent life, but actual death and disease. Consider what H. Sometimes the information on the NFV Forum is not only useful, it is hilarious.  Click here (http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/index.php?p=489) to read the letter a Forumn member named Mary suggests you bring to your doctor if he or she wants to vaccinate you or your children!  And the Truth Shall Make You Free  In the era of the forward march of compulsory vaccination, you need good information and strong exemption options to protect yourself from compulsory vaccination at the State level.  And you need a strong grass roots movement to repeal the laws that the US has passed (like the mis-named "Patriot Act") giving itself the authority to force vaccination on you for a so-called "Pandemic" or quarantine you indefinitely if you do not submit to this unknown substance being put into your body. It is important to recall that there are two distince threats of compulsory vaccination and drugging.  The first is the State level where State legislators need to be informed that compulsory vaccination is unwise, unsafe and unconstitutional and schools, hospitals and other State-supervised agencies need to be controlled (along with doctors and nurses, of course). The Maryland and Maine atrocites were State-mediated assaults. The Federal Government, on the other hand, has powers that transcend the State's powers.  Various laws have given the Federal Government the option of declaring mandatory vaccination and drugging to be within their right to enforce, no matter what the damage to the recipient. Your Skin There is one basic issue common to all areas of health freedom: Whose power and authority determine what can - or cannot-  go into your body?  The Natural Solutions Foundation says that your skin is the boundary at which the power of governments, companies, international commissions, laws and regulations stops.  What you want to put into your body, whether natural or drugs, whether clean food or GM, pesticide tainted food, is your business.  What you want injected into your body - or not - is your right to decide, and no one else's.  Period. It is really that simple.  When we look at all of the many individual health freedom issues and try to find the underlying theme that binds them all together, one thread emerges as the single most important theme:  Your right to determine what to do with your body and your health care.  Governments, industries and multinational bodies like Codex want to control what goes past your skin. We asked you in a questionnaire a while ago what your priorities were and you told us.  It was amazing and quite gratifying to learn that we were so clearly on the same wavelength.  You told us that your priorities start with eliminating the threat of compulsory vaccination and drugging and Codex. You want the right to seek and use natural health options without you - or them - being criminalized (as Codex and the US government, along with the EU, Australia, etc., are already in the process of doing). And you want companies providing good natural products and doctors and other health practitioners who are practicing good health care to be free from absurd and abusive attacks by the FDA with their dogs and axes and rifles!  In short, we want the Constitution of the US Government applied to your right to make your own health care decisions. You have the right to learn the truth, to decide what is your truth, and to act on that truth to protect the health of yourself and those you care about.
