Africa Day 1

This Is Short and Sweet: Please Read!

This is a quick report on our first day in Africa. General Stubblebine and I landed in a country we will call Country #1 (we do NOT want to alert the opposition forces to what we are doing and make it easier for them to undermine our efforts!) and were met at the airport by colleagues who have put a huge amount of time and effort into our trip here. I know that we will not always have internet access and that, frankly, I will just be too tired some days, but I will try to keep you posted on the success we are meeting before we go to the Codex Alimentarius Commission (Geneva, Switzerland, July 3-7, 2006) and watch the health coalition do its stuff!

 

And Now For Something Completely Different!

 

Perhaps you have been wondering how to inform and activate your patients and customers about Codex and garner support for the Natural Solutions Foundation at the same time. We have been! And we believe we found one answer to those questions:

We now have a Health Professionals' Kit available for you. We will send you a letter you can use to educate your patients or customers about the serious health and health freedom threat posed by Codex and steps they can take. Among those steps is a one page Citizen's Petition Letter which they can sign in your office and which you can send back to us. Included in the steps are donation "stickups" which allow them to donate and then have that donation recognized by small stick-ups which you can put up in your office or health food store to let people know that others are active, too. At the same time, your customers and patients are helping the Natural Solutions Foundation in a very real way.

We're Off Again!

So much has been happening it's hard to know where to begin! First of all, later today General Stubblebine and I will be heading for the airport to fly to Africa where we will meet with several Ministers of Health and Codex Committee members and chairs to support their participation in the emerging health coalition at Codex. Their immediate task? Support South Africa's heroic initiative and hold the Ottawa Beachhead !

This historic turnaround gave Codex 11 principles to guide its mandated implementation of the WHO Global Strategy on Diet, Physical Activity and Health, a strongly pro-health document adopted by the World Health Assembly in 2004. This mandate represents the first time in Codex's history that "Optimal health" has been debated. Our job is to help get it included!

Of course, we will be discussing and promoting the Codex "Two Step" applied to the Dietary Supplement issue in the information-packed, uniquely significant Codex eBookhttp://www.healthfreedomusa.org/resources/books.shtml). You can have this remarkable book to read and share along with the highly informative "Nutricide: the DVD".

 

 

We will visit several African countries on this mission and then head to Geneva where the Codex Alimentarius Commission is meeting from July 3-7. That's where the Beachhead will be won or lost -- this time. Win, loose or draw, however, we will be pushing for more, more, more. It is, after all, OUR planet and OUR health. We will be building the national constituencies for that position inside -- and outside -- of Codex.

Next, we have been attending scientific meetings and lecturing widely. At two of them I was both surprised and deeply gratified to hear my name called when it was awards time! In fact, the International Open University for Complementary Medicines -USA was kind enough to award me a Distinguished Award of Excellence for "having contributed significantly towards a Global Movement for the ingtegration of all medicines and for the continued service to humanity". Wow!

 

 

Two weeks later, in Nassau, the Bahamas, the World Organization of Natural Medicine presented me with an Illuminated Diploma of Honor "for the service to humanity, having participated in the cultural life of the global community, to share in scientific advancement and its benefits for humanity. Double wow!

OK, so General Stubblebine and I are off to Africa, Codex and then India and probably China for the purpose of alerting, informing and creating a pro-health coalition inside Codex and outside of it as well.
